MobixKhata ("we", "our", or "us") provides a mobile point-of-sale (POS), digital customer khata ledger, wireless ESC/POS thermal receipt printing, and shop inventory management tool. We respect your commercial privacy and are committed to safeguarding the data you record on our platform.
This Privacy Policy applies to the MobixKhata mobile application and related services. By installing, registering, or using MobixKhata, you acknowledge and agree to the practices outlined in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
To deliver fast POS operations and multi-device cloud synchronization, MobixKhata processes only the following necessary data categories:
- Account Identification: When signing in with Google or creating an account, we receive your name, email address, and unique account identifier.
- Business Profile: Business/shop name, contact phone number, address, local currency code, and language preferences.
- Commercial Ledger & Sales Data: Customer names, customer contact numbers (for sending balance receipts), debit/credit (Khata) transaction amounts, sales invoices, item quantities, and stock inventory levels.
- Diagnostics & Stability: Device model, OS version, app version, and crash diagnostic logs to keep the app fast and stable.
3. Offline-First Architecture & Cloud Sync
100% Offline Capability: MobixKhata stores your business records locally on your device in secure SQLite storage. You can perform sales checkouts, credit ledger entries, and Bluetooth thermal printing without any active internet connection.
Multi-Device Cloud Backup: When an internet connection is detected and you are signed in, encrypted incremental sync updates your secure private cloud database so you can seamlessly access your shop data from multiple phones or tablets.
4. Device Permissions We Request
MobixKhata only asks for device permissions strictly necessary for its features:
- Bluetooth & Nearby Devices: Required to discover, pair, and transmit ESC/POS print commands to 58mm and 80mm wireless thermal receipt printers. We never track your geographical location.
- Camera: Optional. Used solely to scan product barcodes and QR codes for rapid item checkout and inventory lookup. No images or videos are saved or uploaded.
- Storage / Media: Used to export and save PDF invoices, customer ledger statements, and Excel spreadsheets directly to your device storage or share via WhatsApp.
- Contacts (Optional): If explicitly granted, enables one-tap customer name selection from your phonebook when creating a new ledger account. Your contact list is never uploaded or shared.
5. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
Subscription upgrades for MobixKhata Pro ($1.99/month or $22.99/year) are processed directly and securely through the Google Play Store Billing API on Android and Apple In-App Purchases on iOS via RevenueCat.
MobixKhata never collects or stores your debit card, credit card, or banking details. All payment processing is strictly governed by Google Play or Apple App Store policies.
6. Data Security & Commercial Confidentiality
We maintain high security standards to protect your commercial records. Data transmitted between your device and the sync servers is secured with TLS 1.3 / SSL encryption, and databases are protected by strict access controls and encrypted storage at rest.
We never sell, rent, or trade your merchant data, customer lists, or transaction figures to any advertisers or third-party brokers.
7. User Account & Data Deletion Rights
In accordance with Google Play Store and Apple App Store user data protection requirements, you have the full right to delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time.
Method 1: Instant In-App Deletion
- Open the MobixKhata app on your device.
- Navigate to Settings → Profile & Account.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account & Wipe Cloud Data".
- Confirm the prompt. Your user profile, customer khata balances, sales history, and cloud database records will be permanently erased immediately.
Method 2: Email Deletion Request
If you have uninstalled the application or cannot access your phone, send an email from your registered account email to:

Our administrative team will process your request, completely wipe all server records associated with your account within 48 hours, and reply with confirmation.
8. Children's Privacy
MobixKhata is a business management and accounting utility intended for merchants, shop owners, and enterprise staff. It is not designed for or directed at children under the age of 13.
